Yes folks, the kids had another play date today. We had so much fun. The Little Man has fallen asleep on the couch and The Girl is sitting next to him to keep him warm while she watches her PBS KIDS Sprout Good Night Show. Soon, she'll be in bed, but I wanted to do a post before the bedtime rituals begin.
Today I'm feeling quite...Satisfied...and Proud.
Satisfied:
washed, folded and put away 5 loads of laundry
got The Girl and all her flowers to school intact :)
got out of The Girl's school yard in less than 1/2 an hour
(i usually take my time when it comes to dropping her off)
homemade dinner - veggies, brown rice pasta, tofu and smoothies yum!
fun and relaxing play date
spent quality time with Little Man at the coffeehouse before meeting for the
play date (we picked up some caffeine for The Girl's friend's mom and me)
Proud:
The Girl did her show and tell ON HER OWN at school today
The Girl, The Boy and The Friend all played well, worked together and were very kind
to each other while we were at the indoor play area
(there was another group of mamas and kids there and they were causing such
a ruckus and sadly, were pretty rude to their own kids)
All in all, it was a grand day. It was nice and cool and crisp in the morning, warmed up during the day and has nicely cooled off.
Tomorrow I have my workday. I hope it's nice and cool as well.
Friday we're going with a bunch of school friends to a kids' amusement park. Saturday the Girl starts ballet class with friends from school and Sunday we have two parties to go to - a birthday party & a baptism. Busy, busy! But we really do like it. We just need to carve out some time to work on our spring cleaning.
oh and as an aside note, Kids Funtown is a great place to play! We've been going there for almost 2 years now. If you check out their site (which was designed by none other than my multi-talented husband, you'll find a picture of Little Man under the pictures section. If you're in the area, you must go!
