"you're so handsome"

Today while The Husband was getting a haircut,
The Boy said, "Daddy, you're so handsome."
indeed, i must agree
Handsome has been a new favorite word that The Boy likes to use

I have a song that I've made up just for The Boy
it goes (and yes, i know, I'm a sappy mama)

"I have a buddy
my baby, baby buddy
he's the best little buddy around.
He's short and sweet and so very funny..."

he'll stop me and say, "Mommy, don't forget handsome"

to which I'll say, "Yes indeed, how could I forget."

he'll giggle and I'll sing the song again and include handsome
and continue on

it's fun song, it keeps us entertained
and at the end, he loves it when I slip his name in
or
if i ask, "Do you know the name of my Buddy?"

Apparently, The Husband was quite an entertainer when he was a wee one and the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. Here Little Man is sharing the stage with a friend from preschool as they do their show. It was a clown show after the school's spring play, i believe.


This Guy is full of character and personality. He's great to hang out with. He's a fast learner (it's a double-edge sword). He's so sweet and feisty. He's very much a two year old with a the verbal skills of a 4 year old who likes to play with the big kids. He keeps us on our toes, for sure!

He's SO much like The Daddy it's uncanny. It may be why they don't always get along very well and why I'm the go-between but it's the same with The Girl and I....so it all works out...evens out...balances in the end. Which is another reason why we're done with TWO. D-O-N-E. done. But that's another post. I've been trying to get The Husband to 'get snipped' but he's too worried that I'll blog about it and the whole world will know.... i know, TMI.

we've got play dates and meetings and get togethers planned all weekend. it should be lots of fun!
