when she grows up

I want her to remember how loved she is
how we enjoy spending time with her

I want her to remember more of the days full of fun
with a sprinkle of the hard times too

I want her to know that the world awaits her
that she controls her destiny
that with effort and determination she can succeed, persevere and just be

I want her to be herself
to love herself
to be kind first to her then to others

I want her to be happy
and safe
and protected

I want her to explore and to try new things out
to taste new foods
to see new sights

I want her to feel
feel for others
be in touch with how she feels

I want her to remember that she was my first baby and will always have a special place in my heart
I want her to always feel love
my love for her
she made me a mother...a mom.
